Contract Negotiations From AOCDS

RE:              BOS approve contract

The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 to approve our contract at their meeting today. Supervisors Todd Spitzer, Pat Bates and Janet Nguyen made it clear that they value the importance of keeping Orange County safe by voting yes on our contract. Supervisors Spitzer, Bates and Nguyen also clearly share the concerns of Sheriff Hutchens and District Attorney Tony Rackauckas in regard to retaining our quality law enforcement officers and being able to recruit the best and the brightest in the future.
I would like to thank your area representatives, your negotiations team and the AOCDS Board of Directors for their tireless efforts in achieving a fair and equitable contract. This would not have been possible without their hard work and dedication and the support of our unified membership throughout this nearly 2-year process.
